The Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps at US Grant H.S. was established in 1993 as one of the last JROTC programs in the OKC School District.а The district has 4 Army, 2 Air Force, 1 Navy and 1 Marine Corps JROTC programs. USG MCJROTC was the first and only Marine Corps program in Oklahoma in 1993.а Now there are MCJROTC programs in Sapulpa and Bixby High Schools.
The Senior Marine Instructor, Major D.N. Weber, and Master Sgt T.J. Hurley are to be congratulated along with the USG H.S. MCJROTC program for receiving recognition on June 10, 2007 for the "NAVAL HONOR SCHOOL".а This award was based on the 2006-2007 school year and is presented to the top 11 schools in the Eighth Marine Corps District.а U.S.G. Competed against 43 schools and is the only MCJROTC school in Oklahoma to receive this distinction.
